St George Melbourne Marathon Festival
The focus of the athletics world will turn to Melbourne on 10th October 2010 when runners in the St George Melbourne Marathon Festival hit the streets for the Marathon, Half Marathon, 10k, 5.7k, 4km walk and 2.5km childrens event. Celebrating the 2500th anniversary of the original marathon, up to 25,000 will do a victory lap of the MCG on their way to the finish. This event also doubles as the Australian and Victorian Marathon Championship.
